Heydenshore Pavilion is located within 15 acres of scenic parkland in Heydenshore Kiwanis Park. The park is on the shore of Lake Ontario adjacent to Whitby Shores Waterfront Trail, with a spectacular view of the lake from its open patio.

Picnic Shelters

There are two picnic shelters located at Heydenshore, both available for rent by obtaining a permit through the Town of Whitby. The capacity for these shelters is 30 persons.

• The shelter closest to the children’s playground is Picnic Shelter 1.
• The shelter that is located closest to the Pavilion and outdoor washroom area is Picnic Shelter 2.
• The cost for renting the shelters is $106.73 (tax included) for a Resident or $341.09 (tax included) for a Non-Resident. There will also be an insurance fee of $12.47 (tax included). These fees are for 2019.
• There are 3 picnic tables under each shelter available to use.
• Barbeques can be used when one of the two Picnic Shelters are permitted.
